“Hvala!”, By Ida Marie Giusti
Philatelists, when visiting Croatia on Easter Monday – please remember that post offices are closed!
And don’t forget that pointing comes in handy when the English language is a problem, places like Sarajevo!
When I visited the post office, I was lucky enough to go through a couple of large stamp books with the woman at the philatelic counter. I found stamps with subjects such as the national dish Cevapi, architecture, animals and flowers.
And the end of my purchase, she must have known I was a stamp collector because she placed them in a large envelope then said with a smile “Hvala” which means “thank you” in Bosnian.

Welcome to the 21st csntury DC stamp collectors club!
I like this sleek version of the newsletter.
The postcard idea is a great way to add to the newsletter so I hope many more member will send postcards from their travels either domestic or international!
Where is the IMPORTANT side of this postcard?
Ah yes, the back. I didn’t post it since it has the wrong address. Will do on the next one!
